Alex Alonso

Alex Alonso is a professional musician and educator, residing in Southern California. He studied abroad in Europe at the Professional Music Conservatories: "Rafael Orozco" of Cordoba, and "De La Rioja" in Logroño, Spain studying under the directions of Antonio Ureña Molina and Carlos Sales Rodrigo in the fields of Trombone and Percussion. He has also taken time to study with professors from Fresno State, UCLA and RCC. Alonso performed with the world renowned RCC Marching Tigers on trombone, cymbals and as a soloist. He's enjoyed touring Europe with an orchestra established in Spain, recording and performing in New York, traveling as far as New Zealand, Australia, and Africa as well as touring throughout the U.S. with such artists as John Legend, Black Eyed Peas, Justin Bieber and many more.
Alonso has also recorded for commercials, TV shows, and movie soundtracks. While also working as an on-screen musician/actor for such hit tv shows as Glee, Parks and Recreation, How To Rock, Parenthood, The Office and many more, including many commercials, movies and music videos.
He has been a part of the brass staff at Gold Drum & Bugle Corps since 2016. He spent 2 years as the music director at La Granada Elementary and is currently teaching as a P.E. Coach at McAuliffe Elementary in Riverside, CA.
