2024-25 Recognition: This Ensemble achieved Gold at SCPA 2025 Championships and Bronze at WGI 2025 Championships —an achievement that drew special recognition from our Mayor and City Council. We are deeply honored by the support of our local leaders and proud to represent the City of Rancho Cucamonga.

Drumline
Also known as the "battery," this ensemble provides the rhythmic foundation for the Rancho Cucamonga Marching Cougars (RCMC). It includes snare drums, tenor drums, and bass drums. A separate front ensemble—often referred to as the "pit"—features larger, stationary instruments such as mallet percussion (including marimbas, vibraphones, and xylophones), auxiliary percussion (such as timpani and concert bass drum), and electronics (including synthesizers, electric bass, and electric guitars).

Winter Percussion
Unlike the outdoor marching band, Winter Percussion or Winter Drumline performs indoors (auditoriums, gymnasiums, arenas) showcasing intricate drumline routines and theatrical storytelling. It includes both the battery (snare, tenor, and bass drums) and front ensemble (mallet instruments, auxiliary percussion, and electronics).
RCMC's competitive group challenges performers to push the limits of precision, creativity, and showmanship during the winter season.
